With fountains, ponds and peaceful courtyards full of bougainvillea, hibiscus and roses, the gardens at The Royal Cancun have long been one of its most beautiful features and they will now be further enhanced by a botanical garden.

A joint project involving the Garden and Activities departments, the garden is being planted in the courtyard behind Building 6. A winding path will take visitors past native trees, shrubs and herbs to a wall garden and a nursery.

The garden forms part of a larger environmental awareness initiative soon to be launched at the resort with fun activities for children and families.
