More than 600,000 eco tourists are expected to visit Cancun this year drawn by the area’s natural riches. They come in search of unforgettable encounters with nature, whether that’s swimming with the world’s largest fish, the whale sharks, witnessing sea turtles nest on the beach or a winter bird watching safari through the wetlands or jungle in biosphere reserves such as Sian Ka’an, Rio Lagartos, Celestun or Calakmul.
