On your next vacation don your snorkel mask and visit Cancún’s incredible Underwater Sculpture Museum, the largest of its kind in the world and now an iconic image for the destination.

Back on dry land, visit the Cancún Maya Museum for a fascinating introduction to ancient Mayan civilization and the vast territory that they inhabited in southeast Mexico and Central America. Learn about their art, architecture, religion, trade and society and see some of the ceramics, jewelry and other artifacts excavated at archaeological sites in Quintana Roo and the Yucatán.
Located in the Hotel Zone at Kilometer 16.5 of Kukulcan Boulevard opposite Captain’s Cove restaurant, the Cancún Mayan Museum lies next to San Miguelito, a cluster of ancient Mayan buildings hidden in the forest. Admission to the museum includes entry to the archaeological site. The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., closed on Monday.
