Since the implementation of the REFINE All-Inclusive package at The Royal Sands and The Royal Haciendas on October 27, 2012, overall occupancy at both resorts has increased, and new services and amenities have been introduced to make the Royal Resorts vacation experience even more enjoyable for you and your families and friends.
Open to children aged between four and 12 years old, the supervised Kids Club offers a range of sports, beach and pool games and art sessions, treasure hunts and movies and is a great way for your children to have fun while you enjoy some much-needed relaxation.
Extra restaurants, expanded a la carte menus and a different buffet every night give members and guests more dining choices at the resorts. They can enjoy poolside cookouts, Oriental, Caribbean, Italian and Mexican theme nights and evening entertainment that ranges from live music and karaoke to the Mayan and Circus shows at The Royal Haciendas. And for a casual lunch or supper on your villa terrace, 24-hour room service is the perfect option.
Due to the popularity of All-Inclusive vacations in the Mexican Caribbean, the implementation of the REFINE package also brought the prospect of greater rental opportunities for member units. This proved to be the case; the percentage of Member units rented through the Reservations Center at both resorts also grew by more than 50 percent in 2013. We expect the results at The Royal Cancun to be just as positive, given its family appeal.
With the REFINE All-Inclusive package, non-member renters booking a stay at the aforementioned resorts through online travel agencies or the Reservations Center pay a higher nightly rate that includes the All-Inclusive portion. By strategically implementing the REFINE All-Inclusive package we have been able to raise the rental rate threshold and have eliminated the low rates and cheap getaways to stay at the resorts that were a source of concern to our Members.
As the demand for the package has grown, we have been able to pass on even greater member discounts and hire extra staff. In our commitment to improve service, we have an ongoing training program and feedback received from members and guests is shared with staff. We also continue to look for ways to enhance our product with more activity and entertainment options.
One of the concerns that some members expressed was that the family ambiance would change as a result of the All-Inclusive concept. From the outset, we assured you that this would not happen and that we would take steps to ensure that your home away from home does not change. We have kept our promise.
Incidents of rowdy behavior at The Royal Sands and The Royal Haciendas have not risen since the launch of the REFINE All-Inclusive package. In fact, the number of incidents of antisocial behavior registered at The Royal Haciendas actually declined in 2013.
