In preparation for the December 7, 2013, debut of Grand Residences by Royal Resorts, 35-year industry veteran Carlo Bicaci has been appointed as General Manager to lead the resort. In his new role, Bicaci will direct all aspects of the resort’s opening, leading a team of 300 resort associates and ushering in a new era for personalized European service coupled with warm Mexican hospitality.
With 35 years of experience leading more than 20 international hotels and launching more than 100 premier restaurants, Bicaci is well qualified to manage Grand Residences by Royal Resorts. Most recently, he oversaw the launches of the world-renowned hotels and restaurants: Brasserie Lipp in Mexico City; Gloutonnerie in Miami Beach; Anticavilla Hotel in Cuernavaca, Mexico; and Quattro Gastronomia Italiana at the JW Marriott Hotel in the upscale Santa Fe district of Mexico City. Prior to these projects, Bicaci served as Vice President of Operations for five resorts and seven city hotels in Latin America for InterContinental Hotels & Resorts. His hotel management experience also includes a wide range of luxury properties throughout the United States and Mexico. He is fluent in five languages: Italian, Spanish, English, Portuguese and French.
